Is this tour accessible?
We’ve endeavoured to make our tours as accessible as possible, so that everyone can enjoy them. This includes creating high-quality audio of the tours, alternative text for pictures and resizable text via your devices settings. We’ve also tried to make sure all stops can be reached by wheelchair users, however certain stops may not be fully accessible. If there’s anything we can do to improve, please contact us with details. We’re always eager to improve!
Is this all historically accurate?
Yes. We here at history treks pride ourselves on historical accuracy. Everything we say is fact checked against multiple sources and then checked by our team of testers. Although we don’t include our references in the primary text, each tour has been meticulously researched and we guarantee accuracy. Additionally, we take all reports of mistakes very seriously, and welcome any corrections that can be backed up with documentation.
What are your sources?
We won’t list all our sources here. It’d take up too much space. But one of our major sources of information is Reading Museum: https://www.readingmuseum.org.uk/
When will the next tour come out?
I’m afraid we can’t give a firm deadline on when any tour will be released. We use several volunteer testers whose schedules we need to work around to ensure all our tours are of the highest quality possible.
How long is this tour?
It’s hard to give an exact answer to this question. Different people walk at different speeds, and the speed of the audio can also be changed/your reading speeds vary. Most of our testers complete the tours in 1-2 hours, including walking time, but you may be faster or slower.
Do I need to look at the images in the text?
Only if you want to! The images are just for reference/so we can give alternative text for those that require it. We found our testers enjoyed having images to ensure they were looking at the right things.
How long is my purchase valid for?
Forever! You can redo the tour whenever you want, and as long as you have your Google play account, it’ll remember you own it.
I notice a mistake/have a suggestion for a stop. How can I get in contact?
Great! We’re always looking to learn more about our area. However, we do ask that you have verifiable sources to back your claim. If you wish to get in contact, you can email us at wearehistorytreks@gmail.com. Check out the Contact Us page for other options.
Is this tour good for children?
We wouldn’t recommend this tour to very young children. History often isn’t family friendly. However, older children who are more interactive learners should find this a more interesting way to learn.
